The Taking of Tiger Mountain Movie Review:
Celebrate this New Year with Tsui Hark latest action blockbuster movie’s The Taking of Tiger Mountain (智取威虎山). This movie adapted from a famous Chinese novel “Tracks in the Snowy Forest”, a story set during the civil war era of 1946.

In the eye of Tsui Hark masterpiece, he had give audiences an eye-popping effect by capturing a series of stunt action and spectacular scenes complementing with 3D visual graphic to bring out the ‘war’ and ‘heart-warming’ scenario. The story flow of the movie was good and audiences will definitely hook up with excitement.

I love ‘The Taking of Tiger Mountain’ movie because I find it meaningful as it relates to intelligence and artillery. In this movie, you may also absorb some basic knowledge of war planning as well as military tactics skills. Thus, it is a must watch movie in JAN this year. I rate The Taking of Tiger Mountain movie 4/5 star.

The Taking of Tiger Mountain (智取威虎山) Movie Synopsis:
Adapted from the famous Chinese novel “Tracks in the Snowy Forest” set during the civil war era of 1946, when ruthless bandits occupied Northeastern China and threatened the lives of civilians there. The most powerful bandit of all was Mountain Eagle (Tony LEUNG Ka-fai), with an impenetrable fortress up in Tiger Mountain and armed with strong artillery. Unit 203 of the Liberation Army, led by SHAO (LIN Gengxin), was crossing the Northeastern region when they encountered Eagle’s men raiding a village. SHAO decided to stay and fight against Eagle. Headquarters sent a skilled investigator YANG (ZHANG Hanyu), who infiltrated Eagle’s gang as an undercover. The duo was soon engaged in a battle of wits with the cold-blooded Eagle, deep inside the snowy forest.
