Pokémon Singapore has announced that Pokémon Center SINGAPORE at Jewel Changi Airport will temporarily close from 1 April 2026 as it embarks on a comprehensive store renewal. The refreshed space will return with a fully localised concept, marking an exciting new chapter for the brand in Singapore.
This strategic transformation reflects Pokémon Singapore’s commitment to deepening its roots in the local community. The reimagined store aims to deliver a shopping experience that is distinctly Singapore-inspired thoughtfully designed to resonate more meaningfully with fans on the island.

A Temporary Farewell, A New Beginning
Since opening in 2019, Pokémon Center SINGAPORE has welcomed countless Trainers and fans through its doors. Situated at the iconic Jewel Changi Airport, the store quickly became a must-visit destination for both locals and international visitors alike.
Over the years, it has offered an extensive range of Pokémon merchandise, including Video Games, Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) products, plush toys, bag charms, and exclusive collectibles. Beyond retail, the store has grown into a vibrant gathering point for Singapore’s Pokémon community, contributing to the nation’s dynamic and ever-evolving pop culture scene.
Reopening with a Truly Singaporean Identity
This temporary closure signals the next evolution of Pokémon Center SINGAPORE. When it reopens, fans can expect a fully localised store concept featuring:
- Singapore heritage-inspired installations
- Interior design elements influenced by everyday local culture
- An expanded selection of merchandise and unique shopping experiences exclusive to Singapore
The refreshed Pokémon Center aims to become a one-of-a-kind destination blending global Pokémon magic with a strong Singaporean identity.
Fans can look forward to a renewed space that celebrates both the world of Pokémon and the vibrant culture of Singapore.
Looking Ahead to a Bigger Return
During the renewal period, Pokémon will continue to bring its world closer to fans through pop-up stores, at Jewel Changi Airport and Plaza Singapura for three months. At the pop-ups, a curated selection of official Pokémon merchandise and familiar touchpoints will be available, ensuring fans can stay connected with Pokémon while the center prepares for its exciting return.

Fans can also look forward to the introduction of a new symbolic Pokémon representing the renewed Pokémon Center. The new symbolic Pokémon is specially selected to represent the unique charm of Singapore. This move will bring a renewed spirit to Pokémon Center SINGAPORE.
“We are incredibly grateful for the continued support from our fans in Singapore. Over the past seven years, we have witnessed Pokémon become an increasingly meaningful part of everyday life, and we are proud to have been part of that journey,” said Shunsuke Sasaki, Managing Director of Pokémon Singapore. “This renewal marks an important milestone as we further elevate the brand experience at the Pokémon Center at Jewel Changi Airport. The refreshed store will feature thoughtfully curated products, including some limited edition merchandise, and an enhanced interior design concept, created to delight both our long-time fans and first-time visitors alike. We look forward to welcoming everyone soon.”
The Pokémon Center at Jewel Changi Airport is scheduled to reopen in the third quarter of 2026.
