In an effort to better promote the Singapore River precinct, showcase its incredible historical and economic significance, and create a unique identity that helps us market the area to both locals and visitors, stakeholders along Singapore River have partnered with URA to organise “Singapore River Logo Design Competition”.
Open to schools and the public, this competition aims to bring excitement and energy to Singapore River and inspire the development of a unique, authentic identity for this important precinct.
The objective of this contest is to design a logo for the Singapore River precinct that can be used to brand, market and better identify the area to both locals and visitors.
The logo should be designed to unite the three quays – Boat Quay, Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay – and to highlight the unique aspects of Singapore River, which include the water that ties the precinct together, the area’s historical roots, and the diverse mix of offerings to be experienced while visiting today. The submission deadline is 22 November 2011.
The winning logo may be used in local and overseas print, out-of-home and online media platforms, on merchandise and potentially for uses including way finding and signage found along Singapore River, for a minimum of two years.
The participants also stand a chance to win attractive prizes worth nearly $5000 including hotel stays, and dining, shopping and entertainment cash vouchers – all donated by Singapore River businesses and merchants. The top winning designer will also receive media acknowledgement and public recognition. http://facebook.com/singaporeriverlogo
