Malay CultureFest returns this year with the themed of ADAT (customs & traditions), with a special focus on the Bugis community. The 2 weeks event will showcase a variety of exciting lined-up which includes; performances, workshops, trails and movie screenings at the Malay Heritage Centre from 13 to 28 October 2017.

The event aims to cultivate an appreciation for the traditions and culture of the wider Malay Nusantara, drawing particularly on the shared aspects. A walkthrough of this event will help you have a deeper understanding of the Malay culture and society in Singapore.

The Malay CultureFest 2017 opening also introduced the Sirri na Presse: Navigating Bugis Identities in Singapore exhibition held in the Malay Heritage Centre. From the history to the present, it is definitely a worth visit historical exhibition for visitors to get familiarize with the rich Malay heritage and culture in Singapore.
