BONIA Unveils First Pop Up Store at Orchard Green

Founded in 1974, local label BONIA has lined up with a series of activities in celebration of its 39th anniversary.

Announcement of Brand Ambassador: Sonia Sui
On 10th May 2013 in a press event, BONIA announced that Taiwan’s top model and emerging actress, Sonia Sui,  will be their International brand ambassador for year 2013/2014 and representing for BONIA in campaigns for Singapore and Malaysia




Chapter 39: BONIA Inspires
BONIA launches its first ever Pop Up Store in the heart of Orchard and has collaborated with Raffles Design Institute (RDI) in a gallery showcase where students can present their designs on an international platform, with five different exhibitions depicting Art Deco, Pop Art, Surrealism, Cubism and Fauvism in-line with BONIA’s Spring/Summer 2013 concept.

Venue: Orchard Green, next to the Singapore Visitor Center (opposite H&M Building).

Launch Party
A launch party, hosted by Fly Entertainment Artist Nikki Muller & Bobby Tonelli, was held on 10 May 2013.  A fashion show, produced by established choreographer, Rizal Ahyar has been put up to showcase BONIA’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection, a preview of BONIA’s Fall/Winter 2013/2014 and a sneak peek into BONIA’s Menswear.

Local celebrities like Irene Ang, Jack Neo, and the cast of “Ah Boys To Men” and inspiring, influential women of today, together with BONIA’s brand ambassdor, Sonia Sui also made their appearance to the launch party.
 
Fringe Activities
• Cosy Dining Corner

BONIA has partnered up with The Garden Slug to create a little tête-à-tête area for walk-in guests to get to enjoy cosy dining experience, as well as aromatic Southeast Asian iced teas and coffee.

 
• Bonia Inspire

Daily workshops on the inspiration of entrepreneurship, health and wellness, bespoke and artisanal hand-crafted accessories and handcrafted clothing are being conducted by by emerging Singaporean brands Star Lash, Weekend Sundries, By Invite Only and Well Dressed Salad. These workshop sessions are open to the public.  These workshops are open to public.

 
• Instagram Contest

Visitors who take a shot of the interior of the pop-up store and post it on Instagram with the hashtag #BONIA39 will have their photo reproduced on BONIA’s Facebook page and the photo with the most Likes will win round-trip tickets to Italy and a BONIA travel set.

 
Closing Party
Rounding off the BONIA pop-up store, will be a closing party on 19 May 2013, featuring DJs, musicians, designers, models, and friends of Bonia, to send the BONIA pop-up store off to its next destination!
