Paddy Hills is a cafe by day and fusion tapas bar by night, located at the 38 South Buona Vista Road, near Haw Par Villa and NUS. Paddy Hills has cause hype on social media since the opening, and now it has became the top of everyone’s to-go list, including mine.
The interior of the Paddy Hills is more like an industrial theme concept with spacious and colourful ambiance cafe. Paddy Hills prides itself in its fresh homemade ingredients from batters to sauces. Thus, this special place have a different menus served in the day and night.
Pink Panther – $9 Thyme, pomegranate, and a dash of rose water. The taste was refreshing and a tad sweet. Ladies will definitely love this drink.
Squid Ink Tagliatell – $29 Puffed Rice, Seared Scallops, Mentaiko, Ikura, Tobiko. What’s an beautiful dishes! The taste of squid ink was distinct, the roe of salmon gives the dish an extra punch. With each mouthful bites, you will get a savoury yet addictive feel that will make you want for more. The only minus point to the dish was, i need to constant wipes my mouth as to avoid embarrassment.
Paella – $29 Unagi, clam, prawn, scallop, preserved meat and rice. I find their paella tasted similar to our local flavourite “Claypot rice”. The rice was salty and aromatic. The added preserved meat was well-prepared with the seafood and unagi. Hence, I love how the unagi blended well to the dish and the amount of fresh seafood in it was very generous.
I love how paddy hills put everything together and the amount of effort that they put in. The ambiance was pretty amazing, the food was beyond average and the coffee was good enough to make me back for more.
