Good news to all Huawei users, you can make payments via Huawei Pay in Singapore. The launch is in collaboration exclusively with UnionPay by Huawei Mobile Services (HMS). It is a mobile payment tool that provides contactless, cashless payment service for HUAWEI device users.
Huawei Pay is one of the key services under the Huawei Wallet app. It was first introduced in the China market in August 2016. Users can instantly turn their Huawei smart devices into e-wallet to enjoy fast and secure in-store payments.
How to activate Huawei Pay? Well, users can enable by adding their bank cards to Huawei Wallet app. The HUAWEI Wallet app comes preloaded in the newly launched HUAWEI P40 series. For older Huawei smartphone models, the app can be downloaded from HUAWEI AppGallery.
This type of payment also supports Near Field Communication (NFC) payment in retail stores. Users can complete their transactions by simply tapping their Huawei devices near to the Point-of-Sale (POS) terminal instead of their credit cards. To ensure payment security, Huawei Pay uses biometric authentication methods such as facial and fingerprint recognition to authenticate customers for retail purchases.

In celebration of the launch, Singapore users who register ICBC UnionPay credit cards to Huawei Pay will receive a welcome gift of 10 HUAWEI Points (worth S$10). The HUAWEI Points can be used to offset in-app transactions for HUAWEI AppGallery, Themes, Video, Mobile Cloud and more.
From 1st April to 30 September 2020; ICBC UnionPay credit card users get to earn cashback up to S$20 by completing different tiers of payment transactions via Huawei Pay.
