Congratulation to Futsar Argentina who won the regional champions of Tiger Street Football Singapore 2012 after defeating favourites and reigning champions, Team Floripa Street Football from Brazil with a tight scoreline of 4-3.Played at Clarke Quay, today’s competition featured international and local teams vying for the grand prize of USD5,000.
Local teams Dorset Boys, La Plata Juniors and national champions Touch N Go were given the opportunity to compete against Futsar Argentina, Team Floripa Street Fotball, De Stadium YT from Malaysia and We Kick FC from Thailand.
Runners-up Team Floripa Street Fotball earned themselves USD2,500.
Following the Tiger Street Football event in Singapore, the next leg of the regional tournament will be held in Guangzhou, China, followed by another in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The top team from each local leg will have the chance to fight it out in the Grand Finals in Vietnam to be the Tiger Street Football Champion and win the coveted top prize of USD30,000.
