Tai Pan Room

The property boasts spacious rooms and suites designed with elegant, contemporary decor, many of which offer stunning city views. I had the pleasure of staying in their Tai Pan Room which is very spacious at 45 square metres. It features a comfortable king-sized bed and large floor-to-ceiling window which gives a panoramic view of Taipei and I was even able to see the iconic Taipei 101 from my room. There was a bottle of sparkling tea, fruits and box of local snacks on the table and that made me feel really welcomed.

The large marble washroom with modern fittings is where you can find all the amenities provided. Apart from the essentials, they also prepared body lotion and bath salt. I had a really good soak in their bathtub which also came with a bathtub tray so I was able to enjoy some snacks and drinks while relaxing in the water. It was truly a great way to unwind after a long day or travel.

Tai Pan Lounge

Staying at the Tai Pan Room also granted me exclusive access to the Tai Pan lounge boasting a sophisticated and tranquil environment where guests can enjoy premium services and amenities.

Guests can enjoy cocktails and light bites at night or breakfast in the morning while enjoying an unobstructed view of Taipei City. It also offers business services including access to computers, printing and meeting spaces so it makes an excellent choice for both business travellers and those looking to enjoy a bit of luxury during their stay. Do note that the lounge is primarily accessible to Club Floor guests and Regent Club members only.

5-Star Facilities

Regent Taipei also features an impressive range of facilities, including a rooftop pool with panoramic vistas, a serene spa offering traditional and modern treatments, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. Parents will be thrilled to know that they have a Kids’ Club which makes a safe and engaging space for children. Babysitting services are available upon request so parents can enjoy some time off on their own, such as visiting the Wellspring Spa, which offers a range of treatments using premium products. It also includes sauna and steam rooms.

Dining At Robin’s Teppanyaki

For dining, the hotel is renowned for its culinary excellence, offering an array of restaurants serving everything from authentic Taiwanese delicacies to international gourmet cuisine. Its iconic Brasserie buffet and Silks House for Chinese fine dining are particularly celebrated.

I had my dinner at Robin’s Teppanyaki, a luxurious dining experience that combines the artistry of Japanese teppanyaki with Western culinary influences, prepared and served with French flair. Located on the 2nd floor of the Regent Taipei, the restaurant emphasizes premium ingredients like top-grade beef and fresh seafood, cooked on smokeless grills for a refined dining atmosphere.

It also offers private VIP rooms accommodating groups of 8 to 40, ideal for intimate or special occasions. Our private room was cozy and elegant and we were able to watch the chef cook our courses on the teppan (iron griddle) right in front of us. The service was also impeccable as the staffs are highly trained to deliver a seamless and personalized dining experience.

I went for the Surf and Turf course meal and it was a truly memorable meal for me because the ingredients were so fresh. Don’t forget to try out their range of sparkling teas which made us feels like we’re having champagne but it is non-alcoholic so even kids can enjoy it.

For breakfast, I ate at the famous Brasserie which is known for its luxurious buffet and wide range of international cuisines. Their breakfast buffet offers a good mix of local and international dishes to suit a variety of tastes. I recommend getting some of that Golden Kimchi at the Korean food corner and the steaming dim sum.

Regent Taipei Location

Regent Taipei is also a hub for high-end shopping with Regent Galleria, an on-site luxury mall featuring top international brands. Its central location provides convenient access to Taipei’s main attractions, such as the National Palace Museum, Taipei 101, and vibrant night markets. If you are taking the train, the nearest station would be Zhongshan Taipei Metro Station. I was able to take some time to visit the popular Ning Xia night market which was just about 10-15 minutes’ walk away and enjoy some local delights. The hotel’s timeless elegance and dedication to personalized service make it a standout destination for both leisure and business travellers. For more visuals, watch this video here.
