Apprentice (徒刑) Movie Review:
Many of us may be wondering and curious about being a chief executioner job in the prison. The true fact is that none of us will have a chance to experience the terrific execution scene in Singapore “forbidden” prison unless you are working as an executioner. It is the toughest job in the world as it takes the courage to kill someone for justice.
Apprentice, a mature film directed by local Director’s Boo JunFeng and main cast by Wan Hanafi Su, Mastura Ahmad and Fir Rahman. The movie tells a story of a capital punishment where most countries still practised, between the executioner and the executioner’s apprentice. Hence, the perspective of the film has also conveyed a message of begin brave, escape fear and accept silence.
The Apprentice movie has a marvellous cinematography with excellent content originality. It was an introspection kind of deep movie that allowed audiences to understand the importance of life and live. I rate the Apprentice movie: 3.5/5 star. The Apprentice Movie will be releasing in Singapore on 30 June 2016 at Golden Village Cinemas.
