Customers who had confirmed appointments for Friday morning arrived as early as 4.45am in anticipation of being amongst the first in Singapore to receive the new iPhones. Mr Daryl Lee, a true Apple fan, timed his arrival at MBS to ensure that he would be the first in line. This is his third time participating in a Singtel iPhone launch event.
More than 40,000 customers registered their interest for the new iPhones and over 12,000 launch appointment slots were fully subscribed, with some models snapped up in less than three minutes.
The second customer to receive the new iPhone, Ms Charis Ng, with Singtel Consumer Singapore, CEO, Mr Yuen Kuan Moon and Singtel Consumer Singapore, Head, Go-to-Market, Mr Anthony Shiner.
Starting Saturday, 26 September, Singtel customers who have registered their interest for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus can purchase the phones at any Singtel Shop on a first come first served basis, while limited stocks last.
