A couple of weeks back, my friends and I visited the Ayam Penyet Ria restaurant located at the Bedok Mall to satisfy our Ayam penyet (smashed fried chicken) craving. The authentic Indonesian restaurant offers a wide variety of fried dishes and Indonesian cuisines delights.
We started off with the ‘Fried Enoki Mushrooms’, ‘Fried Chicken Skin’ and ‘Prawn crackers’. These 3 side dishes taste addictive and they are the top recommended choice to order at the Ayam Penyet Ria restaurant.
We enjoyed the delectable tender Ayam Penyet serves with deep-fried beancurd, soybean cake and kangkong topped with savory blacan-chilli relish. For your info, most of the marinades and spices are imported directly from Indonesia.
Something interesting to try out at the Ayam Penyet Ria if you are tired of having the usual Ayam Penyet! It’s our first time having the fish penyet and we got hooked by the fresh golden crispy texture.
The deep-fried fish penyet taste scrumptious, crunchy and flavourful, and you can just simply swallow the whole fish without worries. Well, there are 3 types of fish penyet in Ayam Penyet Ria restaurant; ‘Bawal Penyet’, ‘Lele Penyet and’ and ‘Ikan Gurame Penyet’ and are limited per day, while stock last.
